Matt is a healthy 10 month old baby boy. He is sociable and likes to watch other children playing. He likes having cuddles snuggling up to his carer. Matt's foster carer describes him as a pleasure to care for and a joy to be with. He is an easy baby to care for. He sleeps through the night and has a good apatite. |
||
| Matt needs a family who are committed to helping him reach his full potential and to supporting him whatever the pace of his development may be. | ||

| There is a history of learning disability in Matt's birth family. His mother has a mild learning disability and members of the paternal family have mild to severe learning disabilities. Matt's father is also believed to have some form of learning difficulty, the level of which is unknown. At this stage, Matt is showing signs of developmental delay in some areas and a chromosomal imbalance has been identified, about which further information is being sought. He is, however, starting to try to speak and says 'dada' and 'nana'. | ||
