Jessica is a bright and energetic girl with a great personality and an engaging smile. She loves High School Musical, reading and writing stories, music and dancing, playing on her Nintendo and computer games. Jessica is also a gifted gymnast and enjoys showing her skills to others. Jessica is the eldest of five siblings. They are all currently in foster care, with plans to place them for adoption. Jessica has been with her current foster carers since Summer 2008, along with her younger twin sisters. Jessica is a fun-loving and rewarding child to care for and has built up a very positive attachment with her carer. She was initially guarded about sharing her thoughts and feelings, and fiercely loyal to her birth mother. This has now changed, and Jessica has been able to share some of her worries with her foster carer and social worker. |

|
Jessica experienced instability and lack of care within her home life and has had to act as a mother to her younger siblings, taking on caring responsibilities well beyond her years. This experience is currently having an impact on her ability to form close friendships with her peer group. Jessicas school, however, are supporting her with her social skills and managing her anxieties. She may benefit from some therapeutic support in the future. Jessica has natural anxieties about the future, which she has been encouraged to express, but is positive and excited about the prospect of being adopted. |
